Paniaga Day has been celebrated since 2003. Its originator is Jerzy Fąfara - a poet, prose writer and scriptwriter from Rzeszów. Every year on 3 May, the former Paniaga Street turns into a place of numerous cultural events - concerts, performances and shows. The event also involves a colorful and ceremonial parade and a Fair of Handicrafts and Regional Products. For several years, each celebration of the Paniaga Festival has had its own leitmotif - for example, associated with one of Rzeszów's partner cities - and a detailed programme of the events. The programme includes not only outdoor activities, but also events in Rzeszów's museums, schools, libraries and cultural centers.
