Rzeszowskie Piwnice invites children and their parents to another event in the "World Music" series. This time, we will travel to Australia, learning about the culture of the continent's indigenous people and their unique way of telling stories through music, movement, and contact with nature.
The "Our Place" workshops are inspired by Aboriginal culture, where a connection with the surrounding world and a sense of responsibility for nature play a special role. Participants will discover how to tell stories through music, rhythm, and movement, drawing inspiration from their own surroundings.
The workshop will encourage children to creatively reflect on the places they know every day and to create musical stories together. Through musical, movement, and improvisational activities, participants will discover new ways of expressing themselves and building relationships with the world around them.
Family Concert
After the workshop, we invite you to a family concert by Phillip Bracken. This will be an opportunity to discover musical inspirations from Australia and to learn about the work of an artist who has for years combined folk sounds with reflection on the relationship between humans and nature.
The concert will be open and interactive. The audience will be invited to sing along, engage in rhythmic games, and actively participate in the event. Children, parents, and the presenters will create a space based on collaboration, mindfulness, and fun.
No musical experience is required – what matters is curiosity, openness, and a desire to experience music together.
About the Artist
