This time, as part of Urban Break, we'll head to the Miłocin district of Rzeszów, home to the impressive St. Hubert Hunting Chapel.
This structure was built between 1741 and 1746 by Jerzy Ignacy Lubomirski in the Baroque style, on a Greek cross plan, along the road to Sandomierz and Warsaw. Its architect was Karol Henryk Wiedemann, although there's a theory that the original plan for the chapel was the work of Tylman van Gameren. The hunting chapel in Rzeszów-Miłocin recently underwent extensive conservation work. Elżbieta Wiącek-Lach, our guide this time, was responsible for this project.
Visiting this Rzeszów landmark is a real treat, as it was awarded an award in this year's edition of the Well-Maintained Monument competition as one of three monuments in the Podkarpacie region!
