Ukryte przestrzenie | European Cultural Stadium 2026

"Hidden Spaces – An Immersive Museum of Experiencing Art with XR" is a project by the Media Dizajn Association, which expands traditional art forms with an XR digital layer, creating an exhibition comprised of three experiences accessible through VR headsets.

New media artist Rufus Rufson, along with his synthetic ancestor, engages in a dialogue with the works of Katarzyna Szeszycka (painting), Maciej Osmycki (painting), and Fruit of the Lump (street art), treating them as a starting point for further exploration in a new, hybrid phenomenon. The project combines XR technology, material objects, an interactive physical-digital environment, and the viewer's presence in a reactive space, where the participant's full body movement becomes a central element of the experience. The entire project is enhanced by responsive sound and music by Bartosz Zaskórski (Mosses and Lichens), creating a multidimensional dialogue between different levels of experience.

The creative process was documented in a film directed by Dominik Chaciński, with Michał Targoński as cinematographer. The film shows the journey from workshop work, through experiments with XR technology, to the final exhibition and is an integral part of each show.

Practical Information
Age limit: 12+. The venue is marked with festival colors.

Accessibility
The venue is architecturally accessible, with accessible restrooms, an elevator to the left of the entrance door, and a baby changing table in the accessible restroom.
