As every year, on May 3rd, the Paniaga Festival will fill the city with the energy, colors, and sounds of culture. Rzeszów's city center will be transformed into a vibrant meeting space where residents and tourists can enjoy concerts, performances, artistic shows, and numerous outdoor attractions.

This year's theme will be sport, reflecting the City of Sports 2026 title and the 30th anniversary of Rzeszów's partnership with the Hungarian city of Nyíregyháza.

ACCESSING EVENTS and ADDITIONAL ATTRACTIONS 3/05/2026:

  • Rzeszów Cellars - 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM - During this year's May Day weekend, we invite you to a shortened version of the Cellars tour – the "Images of History" multimedia trail. Walking through the underground passages, you will discover the history of this place and Rzeszów on your own! Duration approximately 50 minutes. Each visit begins with a short introduction by a guide. The tour begins with a multisensory film about Rzeszów* and a short introduction by the guide. First visit at 10:20 AM, last visit at 5:20 PM. Polish Radio Rzeszów Outdoor Studio – Polish Radio Rzeszów Parking Lot, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Complex of Art Schools - Painting in the Moat of Lubomirski Castle
  • Zorza Cinema - screening for children (tickets: 2 PLN), 2:00 PM

  • Museum of Bedtime Cartoons

I. Exhibitions:
1. "Museum of Bedtime Cartoons – Memories Not Only for Children" – a permanent exhibition presenting exhibits related to the production of animated films for children: original puppets, animation transparencies, decorations, designs, scripts, and storyboards for puppet and cartoon films. 2. "Little Penguin Pik-Pok from Snowstorm Island" – a temporary exhibition presenting original movie puppets, character designs, and set designs related to the production of the animated series "Little Penguin Pik-Pok"
Admission:
– Regular – PLN 16
– Concession – PLN 10

II. Activities:

"Sporty Bedtime Story" – themed activities during which participants will embark on an extraordinary sports adventure with their favorite characters: Bolek and Lolek, Teddy Bear Uszatek, Reksio, the Care Bears, and Shaggy.
The activities will begin at 3:00 PM. Admission is free. Reservations are required – tel. 17 748 36 51

Rzeszów City Photography Gallery - The "BEFORE YOU WAKE UP" exhibition will be open to visitors from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on May 2-3.

Admission:
Participation in most events during the Rzeszów May Weekend is free. The exceptions are: a family film screening (May 3 at the Zorza cinema) – admission is PLN 2, and exhibitions at the Bedtime Cartoon Museum – PLN 16/PLN 10.

Event Location Markings:
All event locations will be marked with arrow-shaped signs and flags in the festival colors.

Warnings:
During patriotic events on May 3, loud noises may occur – a salute may be fired.

Accessibility:
On-site Support: Organizers and volunteers will have ID badges. You can contact them for assistance or information.

Restaurants:
Restaurants will be located within the event space: in the parking lot behind the Town Hall on Słowackiego Street, in the moat of Lubomirski Castle on the side of Pod Kasztanami Avenue, and on Lubomirskich Avenue on the side of Szopena Street.
A baby changing table and accessible restroom are located in Rzeszowskie Piwnice (Rynek 26).

Parking:
On weekends, parking near the Market Square is free (including Słowackiego Street, Mickiewicza Street, and Hala Podpromie).

Seating:
On May 3rd, seating will be available during the "Literature at Paniadze" meeting and concert in the Market Square.
