This is a unique, creative experience for anyone who wants to develop their artistic skills. We will focus on sketching and working with watercolors - learning techniques, experimenting with color, building compositions and discovering your own style. The workshops are not only learning, but also a creative space for developing imagination and gaining new artistic experiences.
During the "learning to sketch with watercolors" classes, participants will learn the techniques of sketching and painting with watercolors, learn to control spots, light and color and create coherent compositions. Each session will have a different topic and focus on new techniques, materials or aspects of creativity. Each meeting is a practical exercise that will help you better understand the medium and consciously use it. We will work on both the freedom of drawing and the ability to observe and interpret the surroundings.
The workshop will consist of several parts:
Warming up the brush, hands and eyes
We will start by introducing the materials that will (and will not!) be needed during this course. Then we will warm up our brushes, hands and eyes, starting to play with watercolor, using our imagination and the surroundings. 10-minute warm-up.
Painting with one line
We will use the brush to explore a set of objects, discovering fun ways to work in our sketchbooks! 5 minutes of painting.
Mastering color
In this part, we will focus on experimenting with color. We will do a series of 20-minute exercises that will help us understand how different colors work together and how we can use them in our sketches. We will explore contrasts, color harmony, and blending techniques (Continue defining color combinations from our photos.)
Creating Playful Illustrations (30 minutes)
Play with the unpredictability of combining wet materials and discover ways to use this technique to create experimental images. (Wet on wet technique)
Final Project: Creative Collage (30 minutes)
To conclude this part of the course, we will experiment with different tools and techniques to create watercolor patterns and textures, and then combine these elements into fun collage illustrations.
