Onirica | fuse* _IT is an audiovisual installation immersing the viewer in an archive of 28,748 dreams collected by researchers from the University of Bologna and the University of California.

When? June 27-28, 2026 (Saturday-Sunday), 12:00-21:00
Each dream was created immediately after waking and categorized according to, among other things, the dreamer's physiological parameters and sleep phases and cycles. The installation leads us through the dreamscape and subconscious, revealing recurring motifs while preserving the uniqueness of each dream. Brain activity (EEG, EOG, REM) becomes a set of parameters that control the image, revealing the processes occurring during dreaming.
Dream texts are translated into images using diffusion models (text-to-image), generating visual landscapes based on the descriptions. Dream data modulates the image-formation process, giving each experience a unique context, while AI acts as a translator and curator of the subconscious, guiding the viewer through a hypnotic and intimate projection.
