Movement FUN – creative dance workshops for children aged 7–11

Dance and movement are a tremendous source of joy that awakens enthusiasm and creativity in the body. I invite all children who love to move (and who doesn't?!) to this workshop.

During the classes, we will play with movement and dance in a free manner, full of individual expression and curiosity. We will explore the possibilities of our bodies and use imagination and logic to solve movement puzzles. Because dance is more than just steps and figures – it is expression, bodily freedom, and good fun that supports development.

The workshop is held on two dates:

Cost: PLN 50

The workshop follows a unique program based on years of experience working with children and their bodies, and incorporates methods such as contemporary dance, improvisation, Laban/Bartenieff, Weronika Sherborne's developmental movement, and mindfulness for children.
Movement classes for children offer many benefits. They support the development of motor skills and body awareness, help oxygenate the body, and teach children how to safely use their own bodies and spaces. They also develop children's skills, such as self-confidence, a creative attitude, and the ability to calm down. Movement helps regulate children's nervous systems, relieve tension, and satisfy their natural need for activity and play.

Leader:
Joanna Jaworska – certified dancer and choreographer, graduate of somatics in dance and therapy. She has extensive experience in bodywork and teaching children and adults at various levels. She is a traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher.

The workshops are part of the Urban Space/Art/Dance project, co-financed by the Rzeszów Municipality.
