Czas Sztuki - is back! From November to April, every other Tuesday, we invite you to meetings with art! This series is a real treat for all art lovers - both for those who are just discovering its richness, as well as for enthusiasts who want to deepen their knowledge.
Almost everyone has heard of the Italian artist. The archetype of the "Renaissance man", a versatile creator, a brilliant engineer-constructor, scientist, philosopher. Aesthete. Vegetarian. Lefty. A born explorer driven by curiosity about the world and... ADHD. In the heart of the Italian Renaissance - the Medici's Florence and the Sforza's Milan - Leonardo explored various fields of art and science alone, making discoveries that amaze even the modern world. He left behind artistic masterpieces that inspired creators of all eras and designs for inventions that fired the imagination of later discoverers. A genius full of doubts, but also a man of mystery. The mysterious smile of the Mona Lisa is in fact Leonardo's smile. Who was he in his everyday life and why did he never reveal his cards to the end? The meeting will be led by art historian Marta Witoń-Jankowska.
Marta Witoń-Jankowska - art historian, educator, guide. A graduate of art history at the Jagiellonian University, for years associated with the National Museum in Kraków, a licensed guide in this city. Currently, she is closer to the Upper Silesia area, where she did her doctorate, lives and works at the Museum in Gliwice, where she is responsible for the educational offer for various groups of recipients. He creates museum lessons for children and young people, gives lectures, and guides people through exhibitions. For over a dozen years, he has been writing, teaching, and recording about art.
