The Jazz in Piwnice Festival aims to promote the alternative improvised music scene in Rzeszow. It is a festival of young rising stars of jazz music, jazz-like, as well as a festival of graphic art.

FREE MEN IN THE BAND
Jazz Trio from Krakow. The name of the band is a paraphrase of Jerom Klapka's book Three Man in A Boat, because it is a musical journey of three guys in search of the sources of their own form of self-expression and good fun. The trio consists of: Mateusz Dymek, a pianist who constantly exceeds all norms and forms, Maciej Szczudło whose bass can focus the entropy of chaos in the precision of sound, Michał Obrok on drums, with the energy of an excited atom, the fission of which inevitably starts a chain reaction of positive vibrations.
KRAINA PRZYJEMNOŚCI
The musical style presented by the group combines elements of jazz, fusion, rock, folk, pop and alternative rock. The band has recorded two albums: the debut album entitled "Fosa" - an album recorded at a frequency of 432 Hz containing a metaphysical message and the second album "II" which is a continuation of the musical message with influences of funk and avant-garde. Preparations are currently underway to release the next material.
Dr ZOLO
An explosive mixture of avant-garde electronics, jazz improvisations, rock dynamics and folk melodies. The band's sound is woven from pulsating drum rhythms, hypnotizing sounds of synthesizers and nostalgic passages of the mellotron. The surreal atmosphere of the concerts is complemented by original visualizations. Dr Zolo is a Warsaw duo that proves that not everything has been discovered in music yet, and new sounds do not have to be difficult to perceive. Their music is a result of numerous inspirations – from jazz, through rock, electronic music, to folk. The musicians consciously limit the number of instruments used, which paradoxically opens up new possibilities for creative exploration. This approach forces innovation and experimentation with sounds, leading to the creation of original and surprising pieces. The effect is unique sounds that attract listeners looking for something new and unconventional.
The initiative is carried out as part of the "DziałajMy" grant competition, run by the Rzeszów Culture Incubator operating within the structure of Estrada Rzeszowska.
