About the host:
Karolina Chomiczewska – born in 1988 in Rzeszów, graduated in Art History and Italian Philology from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Author of numerous conservation studies on immovable monuments and articles and texts devoted to the architecture of Rzeszów modernism. In 2017, her text “Motors in the City of Retirees”, describing the monuments of Rzeszów modernism in relation to the profound socio-economic changes in Rzeszów in connection with the construction of the COP – took first place in the Reader category in the national competition “Chronicles of Development” organized by the Polish Press Agency and the National Bank of Poland and devoted to the economic achievements of the Second Polish Republic. She collaborated with the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Podkarpacka Regional Tourism Organization in the creation and popularization of the Rzeszów Modernism Trail and the Central Industrial District Trail in Rzeszów, respectively. She is a guide on these trails. Apart from the protection of monuments, her passion is the language and culture of Italy.
