During the last meeting of the first part of the series, participants will be introduced to the most important monuments of the era, both in European and Polish art. We will focus on discussing the stylistic changes taking place during this period, with particular emphasis on the most important examples of Gothic architecture, sculpture and painting. In the workshop part, participants will design and make a stained glass window using tissue paper.
The Artistic Dictionary is a series of meetings on the history of art, created with children and young people in mind. It is an excellent opportunity to expand school knowledge and an invitation to discover and explore the world of art - both Polish and international. The topics of the classes will be discussed chronologically, from prehistory to the 20th century, and each meeting will be divided into two parts: theoretical - a short introduction to the topic and practical - art workshops, during which participants will learn interesting techniques and materials.
The meetings will be held once a month, every third Saturday, from October to June. You can take part in the entire series or only in those classes that interest you the most. The leader will be Adrianna Froń - art historian, art teacher and student of Contemporary Art at UKEN in Krakow.
