Funky Flow bands concert | BLU/BRY

We invite you to a jazz warm-up before the Birthday Toast for Tomasz Stańko!

On July 4, Funky Flow and Blu/Bry will play for you at the square by Kamienica ul. Króla Kazimierza 25 - two excellent musical ensembles!

Blu/Bry is a band founded in 2021, since then they have been actively performing on the European stage. Their music is influenced by modern jazz, folk, but also classical and electronic music. The quintet has participated in many competitions and festivals, such as: Enter Enea festival, Blue note Poznań Competition, Junior Jazz Festival and Jazz Kracamera. They are winners of the Grand Prix at competitions such as Jazz Juniors, Jazz nad Odrą and Bielska zadymka jazzowa. They were distinguished in the JazzForum JazzTop 2024 ranking as the new hope of the year.
Their debut album "Blubry" was released in 2023, and the next one, "Ejber", in cooperation with Polish Radio, appeared in early 2025. The band members had the opportunity to educate themselves in such institutions as the Danish National Academy of Music and Berklee College of Music in Boston and are constantly looking for new experiences and inspirations.

Funky Flow - is an explosive mix of jazz and funky with elements of blues and rock. It is almost a typical organ trio. Music based on a funky groove, organ bass and harmony, and a guitar foreground. Original compositions are mixed with jazz standards and covers in unique arrangements. The band was formed in 2005 and since then has come a long way musically and personal.

Over these almost 20 years Funky Flow has recorded 2 albums (Couple of Grooves and 3), traveled across Poland and beyond performing at festivals and club concerts, some of which are worth mentioning: - Pozytywne Wibracje Festival - on one stage before Angie Stone in the Eskaubei project and Funky Flow - Białystok - Art Territory - Łuck (UA) - Krokus Jazz Festival - Jelenia Góra - Art Fest - Tarnów - Rzeszów Jazz Festival etc. In addition, the musicians, apart from the band, have participated in the production and recording of several albums, have played several hundred concerts, including performances at South by West (Texas), Przystanek Woodstock or the Eurovision eliminations, have collaborated or performed with Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Jack Moore (Gary Moore's son), Wojtek Pilichowski, Zbigniew Jakubek, Krzysztof Puma Piasecki and others.
