The GovTech4Europe Summit will connect government technology industry leaders, innovators and representatives of public institutions from across the European Union in Rzeszów next week. The programme will include panel discussions, workshops and meetings - available to registered participants, as well as open accompanying events addressed to all residents of Rzeszów. One of them will be a concert by the band RYSY.
RYSY - a Warsaw duo formed by producers Wojtek Urbański and Łukasz Stachurko. Their music is a result of progressive dance rhythms built on the foundation of melancholic, yet catchy melodies. The premiere of the debut single "Ego" (with a guest appearance by Justyna Święs) took place on 4th May 2015, and on 4th September the debut longplay "Traveler" was released, followed by the "Father" EP containing the songs "Father" and "Crystal Love". From the beginning of its activity, the band has focused strongly on concert activity. The duo has performed at the biggest Polish festivals (including Open’er Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Audioriver and Off Festival). The concert line-up was often expanded with vocalists who appeared on the album “Traveler” (Justyna Święs, Baasch and Piotr Zioła).
RYSY quickly gained recognition in the world of Polish alternative music. In 2016, the duo was awarded the “Discovery of the Year” statuette by Muno magazine, the “Band of the Year” by Aktivist magazine (Nocne Marki poll) and a nomination for the Fryderyk award in the “Debut of the Year” category. Despite these successes, the band suspended its activity on January 30, 2017.
The reactivation took place on December 31, 2020, with the premiere of the single “4GET” - the title track from the album, which was released in the spring of 2021 by Dyspensa Records. The album was enthusiastically received by fans and the music industry, as a result of which RYSY received the Fryderyk award in the "Electronic Music" category as well as the "Band of the Year" and "Song of the Year" awards granted by Muno magazine. In the fall of 2023, the band released the dance EP "Harpa", recorded live in Iceland and went on a club tour, selling out the most prestigious venues in Poland.
