JAZZPOSPOLITA – concert promoting the new album "Kosmopolis"

• Organizational information: Gates open at 7:30 PM, cloakroom fee: PLN 5. Standing only.
• Tickets: PLN 60 in advance / PLN 70 on the day of the concert. With a Rzeszów Resident Card, tickets can be purchased at the box office with a 10% discount.

Jazzpospolita is a band that has been working against the grain from the very beginning: fashion, simple associations, and even its own name. They consciously balance between genres, thanks to which they have developed a recognizable, original sound over the years.

Post, avant, prog, ambient, trip-hop, jazz, rock, minimal? It's difficult to count all the labels that have been attached to them, and equally difficult to summarize this music in a single word. However, it's possible to summarize it all with a single word: harmony, dynamics, sensitivity, and melodicism. Jazzpospolita's compositions remain open, evolving live and changing depending on the moment.

Jazzpospolita's latest album, "Kosmopolis," is a sonic tale of five completely different stories unfolding in different places at the same time: Warsaw. The Old Town. Oviedo. Klunton. Polis. All unfold in a bittersweet present, heading into the unknown. In a contemporary era where, like never before, what's new immediately becomes old. Open or closed? We ask questions, await answers. "Perhaps idealistically, but in today's media-post-pop culture frenzy, we still want to believe in the power of music made from the heart, its causal power, and its value for those who want to not only hear it, but also listen to it," say the band's musicians. This album is "something," personal and identity-driven, though genre-wise very complex, blended like a modern polis. A cosmopolis.
