We invite you to another edition of archaeological and historical workshops for children and youth!
This year we return to one of the key events in Polish history, which we celebrate with particular solemnity in 2025. On this occasion, we invite you to archaeological workshops dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Prussian Homage - an event that has become permanently etched in collective memory thanks to the famous painting by Jan Matejko.
During the classes, participants will learn the historical background of the homage paid in 1525 by Albrecht Hohenzollern – the last Grand Master of the Teutonic Order – to King Sigismund I the Old on the Market Square in Krakow. We will look not only at the event itself and its political significance, but also try to understand how archaeology can help in discovering and documenting traces of such a distant past.
