ESKapada - audio-visual exhibition of paintings by Szczepan Rożek and Maciej Maślanka from Pracownia017.

The artists will take the show's participants on a journey through time, re-read old European patterns and legends, and create a bridge between the past and the future.

The painting of Rożek and Buttermilk implements the slogan of the European Stadium of Culture 2024: move to change, as it draws from the richness of cultural heritage, while opening up to new opportunities and challenges.

The creators will artistically develop the exhibition site - a tenement house at 25 Króla Kazimierza Street, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, which was once part of the Jewish district, and during the war and German occupation - part of the Rzeszów ghetto.

The exhibition opening will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 4:00 p.m. It will be accompanied by a DJ set with electronic music inspired by the cultures of Eastern Europe.

Pracownia 017, Szczepan Rożek and Maciej Maślanka.
Working as a collective, they combine two different styles, creating uniform works that are the result of the meeting of two different imaginations. They compose images in which the strength and dynamics of black and white lines combine with expressive and non-obvious forms in vivid colors, constituting an interesting combination of street severity and abstract expressionism. Over the years, actively penetrating the urban tissue from the 'underground' space of cities and their walls, they transferred their work to canvases, which are increasingly exhibited at individual and collective exhibitions in art galleries in Poland.

Szczepan Rożek (born in 1991 in Rzeszów) - Painter and graphic designer.
Co-founder of the "Pracownia017" collective and owner of the graphic agency - Jednorożek Studio. He deals with painting, drawing and graphic design, creating visual identifications and digital illustrations. It combines art with classic forms of graphic design. It co-creates the urban tissue of Rzeszów. He is increasingly invited to cooperate both artistically and commercially, introducing his distinctive style to each project.

Maciej Maślanka (born in 1991 in Rzeszów) - Street art connoisseur, photographer, filmmaker.
He graduated in "Photography" from the University of Art and Design in Łódź, earning a master's degree in art. Co-founder of the "Pracownia017" collective, who works in the film industry on a daily basis, co-creating commercial materials for advertising purposes, as well as being involved in the Young Cinema through his functions and making films that win awards at the most important festivals in the country. His works in the field of photography, graphics and art books have been presented at many exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
