The band was founded in 2011 on the initiative of Przemysław Sokoł - a trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, known for his cooperation with Justyna Steczkowska, Katarzyna Gertner, Maciej Maleńczuk and many other figures of the Polish music scene. From the very beginning, the band's musical interests related to the musical tradition of the Balkans and the music of Central and Eastern Europe!
In 2014, the group won second place at the legendary festival in Gucha (Serbia). Since then, they have been bringing the Balkan repertoire to the Polish audience with even greater commitment. They performed in many European countries, including: in Germany, France, Serbia and Lithuania.
The band recorded with Renata Przemyk, Alosza Awdiejew and Maja Sikorowska.
At the European Stadium of Culture 2024, the Sokół Orchestra will perform:
